Description: This antique postcard, mailed in 1906, depicts a tranquil scene of "Boating on Branch Brook Park lake" in "Newark, N. J." The image features a large grand building and a gazebo on a grassy bank overlooking the lake, with two people in a small boat. The reverse side has a Newark, N.J. postmark dated JUL 21 2 AM 06, and an Irvington, N.J. postmark dated JUL 8-22 AM '06, confirming its mailing date. It is addressed to "Miss Sarita E. Conover, 303 Huestis St., Ithaca, N.Y." and includes a one-cent Benjamin Franklin US postage stamp. The sender wrote a message at the bottom front that begins "Miss Sarita: Your postal was duly received, I thank you very much." This postcard provides a charming look at early 20th-century park life in Newark and is a great addition for collectors of New Jersey history, park scenes, or vintage correspondence. The card number "3745" is visible vertically on the left edge.

Condition: Has some light creases and writing on front. As this is an antique vintage postcard, it will show corner bumps and expected age wear.
